JOY UNCONFINED!
Summer has arrived. Or so say more than 20% of Brits asked by a recent radio survey. The reason? Wimbledon is upon us again. That means Pimms, strawberries and cream, funny hats, tennis. Oh yeah...and rain - lots of the stuff! A symbolic fixture in the British and world sporting calendar see millions of viewers tuning into events as they unfold in a small corner of London.
It promises to be a ball. The host 'nation' has a strong representative for once (let's face the fcat that Henman would never win it!), and the mercurial Nadal and all-conquering Federer are vying for the much-coveted trophy along with dozens of other hopeful aspirers.
Murray to serve first...game on!

- I am 24 and have a real passion for Spurs, having supported them since the age of 6. That means I have not seen them win anything of note (other than the Peace Cup, Worthington Cup and Carling Cup of course!). I have an interest in European football and would like to become a football journalist abroad. My favourite ever Spurs player was Didier Zokora and my player to watch out for in the future is Dean Parrett. My pet hate in football are hackneyed sayings, inflated transfer fees, and diving and other bad sportsmanship. Perversely, I would like to see a European club break the monopoly that English football has on the Champions League and I think that Real Madrid and Barcelona have a great chance to make this happen this year. My other interests include FC Barcelona, the Chicago Bulls, Spanish and French culture, good food and music, lying on the beach in the sun and a good G&T.
